 Pickups for Violin & ViolaChoosing a Violin Pickup
Your choice of violin pickup will depend on factors including convenience and sound quality. We stock pickups for violins from both LR Baggs and Fishman. The LR Baggs design has the sensor bonded into the bridge itself - Setting up your violin with this pickup requires that you replace the bridge with the L.R.Baggs violin bridge. The violin pickup from fishman is a clip-on design that attaches to the existing bridge.
Carpenter Jack
Both LR Baggs and Fishman Violin pickup products may be purchased with or without a Carpenter Jack. A carpenter Jack is an adjustable metal frame with attached quarter inch output jack. The frame and jack can be safely and conveniently clamped to the edge of the violin for an easy installation.
