The Arsonist is a one-off guitar custom made by luthier Garry Knight. It includes state of the art features that any heavy rock guitar player lusts after. Topping off these features is the unique white LED lights built into the neck that are pre-progammed to provide lighting sequences and modes that react to the guitar players picking and chording.

Body & Hardware
Guitar Body & Finish
The Arsonists' guitar body is made from a two piece solid Honduras Mahogany block, carved into a shape totally designed and conceived by Garry. A variety of carved features include a comfortable rear tummy cut, neck heel and curved top with scallops. The body is finished in a unique mica powder color called midnight blue pearl, giving it a depth and irredescent quality that reflects well under directional lighting such as stage lights.
Hardware
All hardware, including the Schaller licensed Floyd Rose Tremelo, pickup mounting rings and control knobs are finished in chrome. The strp buttons are flushmounted Dunlop straplocks.
Pickups & Signal Controls
Seymour Duncan Invader Pickups (passive) are installed in both the neck and bridge positions. Controls include independant volume controls for each pickup and a single tone control. Pickup selection is by a three-way pickup selector switch.
LED Controller
The body also includes a digital control circuit designed and made by Garry Knight to control the lights in the neck. The controller and its power battery are mounted within the control cavity with the signal controls. The ccontrol cavity cover on the rear of the guitar body, also has four unobtrusive, small pushbuttons mounted on it. The pushbuttons control the light pattern or mode selection. The controller is powered whenever the guitar output jack is connected.
Neck & Hardware
Neck construction
The neck is made from the same cut of Honduras Mahogany as the body wood and includes a two-way truss rod (adjustable at the neck heel) and two internal carbon fiber shafts to improve stiffness. The combination of truss rod and carbon fiber shafts make a very stable neck that needs little adjustment through the changing seasons.
The headstock is a 10 degree angled headstock with a four and two arrangement of steinberger headless tuners.
Fingerboard & Fretting
The fingerboard is made from Gaboon Ebony and is scalloped between each stainless steel jumbo sized fret. Each marker position is inlaid with mother of pearl inlay in the shape of small flames. In the center of each inlay is a white LED - Two LEDs are positioned at the 12th fret. Scale length is 25 1/2 inches.
