SV-1969 Custom Pickups

Months of experimentation culminated in a strat™ style guitar pickup that's perfectly voiced to the classic strat tone that we all dream of. That's a big claim to make of a hand wound single coil pickup, but we mean it. We tested our pickups in guitars with some of our walk-in clients. The pickups conclusively won our blind tone tests by coming first in every test! Ever since we got this convincing result we've included them in many of our own custom instruments as well as sold them to clients for their own instruments.

These pickups are hand scatter wound around Alnico V staggered poles with 42awg wire. A computer controlled winder maintains consistency of winding count for every pickup. Following winding, each pickup is vacuum wax potted with a traditional formulation of heated wax, before being taped, wired, tested and individually serialized.

Our standard SV-1969 3-pickup sets include a reverse wound, reverse polarity middle pickup and overwound bridge pickup. Mounting hardware and choice of cover colors are included for a total price of $175.00.
